19-Year-Old Woman Killed in Suspected XL Bully Dog Attack in Bristol

Two individuals in their 20s have been arrested as police investigate the fatal attack in a residential flat.

A 19-year-old woman was fatally attacked by a dog, believed to be an XL Bully, in a flat on Cobhorn Drive in Bristol's Hartcliffe area on Wednesday evening.
Emergency services, including paramedics and police, were called to the scene around 7:19 PM, but the woman was pronounced dead at the location.
Two individuals, a man and a woman in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog causing injury resulting in death and possession of a prohibited breed.
The dog was sedated and seized by authorities, and its breed will undergo further assessment by veterinary experts as part of the investigation.
Police have increased their presence in the area, and the victim's family is being supported by a specially trained liaison officer.
