  • Angel T. slipped away from the Versailles tribunal on June 6 during a bathroom break when officers removed his handcuffs ahead of a detention hearing.
  • He had been awaiting a ruling on charges that he stabbed a neighbour in Verneuil-sur-Seine in January 2025.
  • The Division de la criminalité organisée et spécialisée opened an escape investigation and worked with the Brigade de répression du banditisme de Versailles to locate him.
  • Technical surveillance and CCTV analysis led officers to his mother’s home in Le Cannet, where the Brigade de recherche et d’intervention de Nice arrested him on June 20.
  • He is set to appear before the Nice tribunal for the execution of his arrest warrant and will then face a new detention hearing.
