Overview

• Lake County sheriff’s deputies were called about 11:15 p.m. Friday to the 35700 block of North Wilson Road for reports of shots fired.
• Responding deputies found a 19-year-old Round Lake resident in a driveway with upper-body gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead despite lifesaving efforts.
• Investigators say a group argued with attendees at the birthday party, left, then drove past the home and opened fire.
• No suspects are in custody as the Lake County Sheriff’s Office continues the investigation.
• Authorities have not publicly identified the victim.
