19 Injured in Lake County Inmate Transport Van Collision

A jail transport van carrying 16 prisoners collided with another vehicle and struck a pole in Round Lake, northwest of Chicago.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Illinois Route 120 and Hainesville Road.
Two people are in serious condition; the rest sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
All 16 prisoners were accounted for and taken to hospitals for evaluation.
The accident caused temporary traffic disruptions and required additional ambulance support.
The incident is under investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
