Overview
- The Regionalliga Bayern fixture is scheduled for Sunday, 25 October 2026 at 14:00 at Hirsch Sportpark in Eichstätt and will be available via a free BR/BR24 livestream with live-ticker coverage on ran.de and tz.de.
- TSV 1860 enter seeking a reaction after their home derby defeat to FC Bayern II and sit fourth in the table on 24 points while Eichstätt are ninth on 21 points.
- Coach Alper Kayabunar publicly criticised the team’s defensive lapses after the derby and has told players to defend more aggressively ahead of the away game.
- Squad news: Tunay Deniz and Mark Gevorgyan are ruled out with knee injuries, Dennis Dressel has a partial all-clear for his shoulder, and Raphael Ott and Raphael Wach are nearing returns.
- Eichstätt’s home style — frequent long balls and danger from set pieces — presents a tactical challenge to 1860 and a poor result would widen the gap to the top and increase pressure on a club still rebuilding after past insolvency and forced relegation.
