- Riverside County deputies arrested 18-year-old Andrew Anderson after a citizen reported people loading a cut-down Flock Safety camera into a vehicle and provided the car’s license plate, law enforcement said.
- Deputies tracked the vehicle with the department’s Aviation Unit, conducted a traffic stop at a home on Matera Court, recovered the stolen device, and booked Anderson on grand theft and felony vandalism.
- The Temecula arrest follows an Aug. 24 Riverside arrest of Palm Desert resident Nathan Ceballos, who is accused of attacking a Flock contractor, damaging cameras, and possessing evidence linked to other vandalism.
- The sheriff’s office warned that tampering with or destroying Flock cameras is a felony and urged residents to report suspicious activity as investigations and prosecutions continue.
