17-Year-Old Wanted for Fatal Shooting on Seattle Bus Surrenders to Police

Miguel Rivera Dominguez, the 17-year-old accused, is being charged as an adult for first-degree murder and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm in what prosecutors called a senseless execution of an unidentified sleeping passenger.

  • 17-year-old Miguel Rivera Dominguez from Burien, a south suburb of Seattle, has surrendered to the police for fatally shooting a sleeping passenger on a Seattle bus.
  • The victim, 21-year-old Marcel Da’jon Wagner, was seemingly chosen at random as Rivera Dominguez and his friend, who was also present at the time, did not know him.
  • Court documents reveal the teenager, who is being charged as an adult, faces charges of first-degree murder and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
  • King County Metro has increased security on the H Line, which runs between downtown Seattle and Burien, following the 'senseless execution' as described by the prosecutors.
  • Prior to the shooting, Rivera Dominguez allegedly had behavioural issues and had been suspended from the Highline High School over a fight in the previous year.
