17-Year-Old Sheboygan Driver Killed in Manitowoc County Highway Crash

Overview

• Deputies responded just after 7 a.m. Jan. 10 to State Highway 57/32 at Cemetery Road for a two-vehicle crash in Manitowoc County.
• Preliminary findings say the southbound 2005 Buick LaCrosse driven by the 17-year-old lost control and crossed the median into northbound traffic.
• A 2002 GMC Yukon driven by a 65-year-old Port Washington man struck the Buick in the northbound lane.
• The teen was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other driver was hospitalized with serious injuries but is expected to survive.
• The Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting the sheriff's office with a reconstruction as investigators work to determine the final cause, and the teen's name has not been released.
