17-Year-Old Prodigy Endrick Secures First Senior Brazil Call-Up for World Cup Qualifier

17-year-old Endrick, who is set to join Real Madrid from Brazilian side Palmeiras upon turning 18 in July 2024, has been called up to the senior Brazil men’s national team for the first time.
Endrick has been selected to play in Brazil's World Cup qualifier against Colombia and Argentina. This comes at a time when the team is without star players like Neymar and Casemiro due to injuries.
The coach of the Brazil national team, Fernando Diniz, praised Endrick and said that his current performance against big Brazilian teams is eye-catching.
Endrick's inclusion in the squad makes him the youngest player to be called up to the senior Brazil national team since legendary striker Ronaldo Nazario in 1994.
Real Madrid announced in December 2022 that it reached an agreement with Endrick to sign him for €70 million ($74.77 million) when he turns 18 in July 2024.
For Palmeiras, Endrick has scored 14 goals in 54 appearances and has won trophies at every age level. Recently, he managed to score three goals in his last two appearances.
