17-Year-Old Passes California Bar Exam

Peter Park becomes one of the state's youngest practicing attorneys after an accelerated academic journey.

Peter Park, a 17-year-old from California, has passed the state bar exam, becoming one of the state's youngest practicing attorneys.
Park began high school at age 13 and simultaneously enrolled in a four-year juris doctor program at the Northwestern California University School of Law.
He graduated high school in 2021 by taking the state’s high school proficiency exam and focused on law school, graduating this year.
He was sworn in as an attorney on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
The State Bar could not confirm that Park is the youngest person to pass the exam, but hailed his achievement as extraordinary.
