Overview

• Police say a fight on the sidewalk outside the 69th Street CTA stop around 6 p.m. escalated when the teen used a sharp object to stab a 20-year-old twice in the torso.
• The victim was transported to UChicago Medicine in critical condition.
• CPD Transit Unit officers arrested the 17-year-old at the scene and she was taken to St. Bernard Hospital for a minor injury.
• The teen is charged with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and her name was not released because she is a juvenile.
• Wentworth Area detectives are conducting the investigation.
