Overview

• Emergency services were called around 8:39pm on Monday, September 22, to Jackson Heights Road in Belthorn, Lancashire.
• Police say a blue Vauxhall Corsa left the carriageway and came to rest down an embankment.
• The 17-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and four teenage passengers were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
• The road was closed for collision investigation work carried out by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
