17-Year-Old Boy Plunges to Death During Social Media Stunt on New LA Bridge

A teen fell from the 6th Street Viaduct on May 20 as he attempted to climb one of the arches and broadcast the stunt.
The 6th Street Viaduct opened in July 2022 and is the largest and most expensive bridge project in Los Angeles history.
Since opening, the bridge has become a hotspot for dangerous stunts and events that have led to injuries, deaths, and bridge closures.
The teen slipped and fell as he tried to climb one of the arches of the bridge to share the stunt on social media.
Police have increased patrols on the bridge to counter the reckless behavior, but stunts and events continue.
