• Seventeen states are running summer sales tax holidays from mid-July through August to help families save on school supplies, clothing and electronics
• Apple has released dates, price limits and eligible product lists for tax-free purchases in nine participating states covering Macs, iPads and accessories
• Walmart will automatically waive sales tax on qualifying items both in stores and online in all states observing the holiday
• Texas families can buy clothing, footwear, backpacks and school supplies under $100 tax-free during the Aug. 8–10 weekend, with shipping fees counting toward eligibility caps
• Shoppers may purchase tax-exempt items in-store, online or by mail and request refunds for any taxes charged in error, but must adhere to each state’s individual price thresholds
