Overview

• Isaias Emanuel Carranza, 16, is charged as an adult with aggravated murder, two counts of attempted aggravated murder, 25 counts of felony discharge of a firearm, and possession of a dangerous weapon by a minor.
• Carranza remains at large under a no-bail warrant, with police warning the public not to approach and to call 911 or Weber County dispatch at 801-395-8221.
• Charging documents cite video, witness accounts, and phone data indicating Carranza drove a black Cadillac CTS and fired at a white Nissan Versa in a vehicle pursuit.
• Investigators recovered 22 shell casings along Gramercy Avenue near Bonneville Elementary and Highland Junior High, and later found the Cadillac abandoned in Roy with additional casings.
• Victim Mason Caballero, 16, was struck while seated in the back of the Nissan after school dismissal and was taken to Ben Lomond High School, where a school resource officer and staff attempted lifesaving aid.
