Overview

  • National Police intercepted a foreign-registered fruit truck near Vélez-Málaga and found 1,579 kilograms of hashish shaped and wrapped to mimic oranges during Operation Zidanne.
  • Two occupants of the truck were arrested and have been remanded to provisional custody by Málaga’s Examining Court No. 10.
  • An escort vehicle that allegedly provided counter-surveillance evaded the stop, and the probe remains open to identify its occupants and their role.
  • In Tavernes de la Valldigna, the Guardia Civil detained a 47-year-old driver after seizing 132.2 grams of cocaine at a checkpoint, then dismantled a retail drug point where cocaine, ketamine, hashish and marijuana were found, arresting a 23-year-old.
  • Parallel Guardia Civil actions included the A-92 interception of three suspects in a violent service-area robbery now in provisional prison, an arrest for a storage-room burglary in Laguna de Duero, and a detainee in La Vall d'Uixò linked to a jewelry theft and two alleged frauds.
