15-Year-Old Fatally Shot in Chicago's Woodlawn Neighborhood

Police are investigating the tragic shooting that left a teenager dead, but no arrests have been made yet.

The shooting occurred around 8:30 p.m. in an alley on the 6600 block of South Champlain Avenue.
The victim, a 15-year-old boy, was shot in the abdomen and left leg.
An anonymous 911 caller reported the incident, mentioning two males fleeing the scene.
The teenager was transported to Comer Children's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Area 1 detectives are leading the investigation, but no suspects are currently in custody.
