Overview

• A search and rescue operation began at about 6:40 pm on July 12 after reports of a 15-year-old male in the River Kelvin near Maryhill Road
• Police officers, firefighters, paramedics, specialist water rescue crews and a police helicopter were deployed in the multi-agency response
• Emergency teams located and recovered the boy’s body from the river at approximately 11:30 pm following around five hours of searching
