Police revealed that the father, with help from the girl's maternal uncle, planned and executed the murder, initially blaming unidentified gunmen before confessing.
The family had recently returned to Pakistan after living in the US for 25 years, with the father objecting to Hira's lifestyle, dressing, and social media presence.
The case is being investigated as a possible 'honour killing,' a widespread issue in Pakistan where over 1,000 women are killed annually for perceived damage to family honour.
Both suspects have been arrested, and the case has been transferred to the Serious Crime Investigation Wing for further inquiry.
