1.5 Million Angry Orange Stain Removers Recalled for Bacteria Risk

The action follows potential Pseudomonas aeruginosa contamination posing higher risks to immunocompromised users.

Overview

  • The CPSC recall (No. 26-201) covers Angry Orange Enzyme Stain Removers in Fresh Clean and Orange Twist scents in 24-ounce, 32-ounce, and 1-gallon sizes, including some UV-light bundles.
  • About 1.5 million units were sold in the U.S. and roughly 43,700 in Canada through major retailers and online platforms from March 2019 through December 2025.
  • Regulators say the bacteria can enter through inhalation, the eyes, or breaks in the skin and may cause serious infections in people with weakened immune systems or underlying lung conditions.
  • No illnesses have been reported to date, according to recall notices in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Consumers are instructed to stop use, request a refund by emailing a photo marked “recalled” with their initials to productrecall@angryorange.com, and dispose of the product in its original container without emptying or recycling.
