  • Firefighters, aided by air tankers and helicopters, contained the blaze to four acres by Monday evening, allowing evacuation orders for around 100 canyon homes to be lifted.
  • No injuries or structural damage were reported as hand crews remained on site to patrol for hot spots and prevent rekindles.
  • The 13-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of felony reckless burning, booked at the police department then released to his guardians under standard juvenile protocols.
  • The Orange County District Attorney’s Office is now reviewing the referral to determine formal charges as California endures heightened wildfire threats during peak summer heat.
