Overview

• The boy, a 13-year-old Canton City Schools student, fell from the front of a trailer float being pulled by a pickup truck during Green’s Memorial Day parade.
• The fall occurred near the end of the route and he was struck by the trailer’s tires, sustaining fatal injuries.
• Green Fire Department responders transported the critically injured boy to Akron Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
