13-Year-Old Arrested in Connection with California Bakery Looting and Subsequent Robbery

The boy, who was initially released due to his age, was re-arrested for his alleged involvement in an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven store.

A 13-year-old boy has been identified as the driver of a car that rammed into Ruben's Bakery & Mexican Food in Compton, California, leading to the looting of the bakery by a mob.
The boy was arrested on January 12 for burglary, felony vandalism, driving a vehicle without the owner's consent, and inciting a riot, but was released to his family due to his age.
Less than a day after his release, the boy was arrested again for his alleged involvement in an armed robbery at a Carson 7-Eleven store.
Four other individuals were also arrested in connection with the bakery incident.
Despite the damage and losses, which are estimated to be around $70,000, Ruben's Bakery has reopened.
