Overview

• The collision occurred Sunday on the R81 at Ga-Sekgopo between Mooketsi and Polokwane, leaving 13 people dead, all of them in the minibus taxi.
• The group were churchgoers traveling from Solomondale outside Polokwane to Magoro village near Giyani, with a preliminary report indicating the deceased include 12 women, a young girl and the male taxi driver.
• One truck driver sustained minor injuries and the other was uninjured.
