12-Year-Old Girl Charged with Manslaughter in Death of 80-Year-Old Man in UK Park

Bhim Kohli, a grandfather and community figure, died from injuries sustained during an assault while walking his dog in September.

Bhim Kohli, 80, was attacked while walking his dog in Franklin Park, Braunstone Town, Leicester, on September 1 and died from his injuries the following day.
A 12-year-old girl has been charged with manslaughter and appeared in Leicester Youth Court, with her trial set to begin in February 2025.
A 15-year-old boy, charged with Mr. Kohli’s murder, is due to appear at Leicester Crown Court later this week.
Police initially arrested five children aged 12 to 14 in connection with the incident, with four released without further action.
Mr. Kohli was remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, and grandfather who was active in his community and passionate about gardening and family life.
