11-Year-Old Boy Rescued After 9 Hours Trapped Between Boulders

New Hampshire emergency responders worked through the night to free the boy, who was stuck near his school in Windsor.

The boy, a student at Wediko School, slipped between boulders while exploring a rocky area on campus under supervision.
Emergency services were called around 6 p.m. Sunday after school staff failed to free the boy.
Rescue efforts involved multiple agencies and required specialized equipment, including ropes, dish soap, and friction-reducing sheets.
Rescuers tunneled beneath the boulders to reach the boy, finally freeing him at approximately 3:15 a.m. Monday.
The boy was taken to a hospital for evaluation and released later that day with minor injuries.
