Overview

• The boy was discovered with at least one gunshot wound in Folwell Park’s driveway around 2 p.m. on June 23
• Police say one or more vehicles driving through the park—including at least one that drove onto the grass—fired the shots
• A local resident drove the wounded child to a police lieutenant at a nearby intersection, where the officer began CPR
• Emergency responders were unable to revive the boy, and he was pronounced dead at the scene
• Minneapolis police have made no arrests and are asking anyone with information to come forward to aid the investigation
