11 Tons of Cocaine Seized in Spain

  • 7,500 kilograms of the seized cocaine were hidden among frozen tuna in the northwestern city of Vigo.
  • A criminal organization was using a frozen seafood company as a front to smuggle the drugs from South America to Spain.
  • Another 3,400 kilograms of cocaine were found in false bottoms of shipping containers in the port of the eastern city of Valencia.
  • Both operations are linked to criminal organizations from the Balkans region.
