Overview
- Gachibowli police and the Madhapur special operations team carried out a coordinated raid on November 3, first detaining two suspects at a co-living hostel in TNGOs Colony and then arresting nine more at a Madhapur hotel.
- Those held include Gutha Teja Krishna and Pakanati Lokesh Reddy, whose inputs led to arrests of Vennela Ravi Kiran alias Bannu, Peddamantoor Harshavardhan Reddy, Manne Venkata Prashanth, and others named by police.
- Officers seized 32.14 grams of MDMA, 4.67 grams of ganja, six mobile phones, two motorcycles, Rs 10,000 in cash, and weighing and packing materials as evidence of distribution activity.
- Police said consumers linked to the group were identified and taken into custody, and they alleged the accused were both using and selling the drugs.
- Nineteen additional suspects, including two Nigerian nationals, are absconding as police probe citywide links and alleged sourcing from Karnataka and other states, and the 11 arrested have been remanded to judicial custody under the NDPS Act.
