Overview

• Running from September 4 to 7, the festival brings around 150 participants from 17 countries for more than a hundred activities.
• An opening ceremony at the Teatro de la Ciudad was led by Cristina Fuentes La Roche alongside state and municipal cultural leaders.
• Photographer Daniel Mordzinski inaugurated a retrospective in the Jardín Alameda and honored victims of Lisbon’s September 3 funicular derailment, citing 15 dead and at least 18 injured.
• The first Constelaciones session featured astronomers Julieta Fierro and Leticia Carigi in conversation with BBC Mundo’s Paula Rosas, filling roughly 80% of the main hall.
• Access has been broadened through free outdoor events, live streams, outreach in Tequisquiapan, Huimilpan and Pinal de Amoles, and a ticket price cut for conversations to 10 pesos.
