  • A U-turn facility is included to maintain local circulation, and the current manned level crossing on the Delhi–Ambala line will be permanently closed.
  • The upgrade stems from a 2015 program to remove manned crossings, with a 2020 feasibility study, DUAC sign-off in 2021, and 2022 design revisions; no construction timeline has been announced.
