10-Year-Old Boy Attacked by Shark at Atlantis Bahamas Resort

Father rescues son from shark-infested tank during resort's 'Walking with Sharks' excursion; boy in stable condition as resort shuts down tanks for investigation.

10-year-old boy was attacked by a shark during a 'Walking with Sharks' excursion at the Atlantis Bahamas Resort.
The boy was led into the tank by staff and was bitten on his right calf by a shark that darted between his legs.
The boy's father jumped into the tank to help his son to safety, while the boy's mother and resort staff also assisted.
The boy was taken to a nearby hospital and found to be in stable condition.
The Atlantis Bahamas Resort and the excursion’s organizers, Blue Adventures, have shut down the tanks following the attack and have begun an internal investigation.
