Overview

• Security forces detained ten militants of KCP, PREPAK and PLA outfits across six districts, including Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Kakching, Tengnoupal and Tamenglong.
• Three active cadres of PREPAK (Pro) were arrested in Imphal West on July 22 following intelligence-led searches of their residences.
• Operations in Kangpokpi district on July 21 led to the seizure of rifles, pistols, grenades, mortars and wireless communication sets.
• Joint teams from Manipur Police, Indian Army, Assam Rifles, Border Security Force, CRPF and ITBP are conducting cordon-and-search missions in both valley and hill areas.
• These raids form part of a months-long campaign under President’s Rule to dismantle insurgent networks and restore stability after a surge in ethnic clashes.
