He has previously played in Major League Baseball for the Tampa Bay Rays, San Francisco Giants, Texas Rangers, Detroit Tigers, Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Angels, Cleveland Guardians, and Miami Marlins, and in Nippon Professional Baseball for the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks.
