"Speak Now" is a song written and recorded by the American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift from her third studio album Speak Now. Prior to the album's release, Big Machine Records made the song available for digital download on October 5, 2010. Swift was inspired to write "Speak Now" after learning that an ex-boyfriend of her friend would marry someone else.
