Jableh is a Mediterranean coastal city in Syria, 25 km north of Baniyas and 25 km south of Latakia, with c. 80,000 inhabitants. As Ancient Gabala, it was a Byzantine archbishopric and remains a Latin Catholic titular see. From Wikipedia
