Harvey Edward Kuenn Jr. was an American professional baseball player, coach, manager and scout. He played in Major League Baseball as a shortstop and outfielder, most prominently as a member of the Detroit Tigers where he won the 1953 American League Rookie of the Year Award and the 1959 American League batting championship.
