"Harry and Louise" was a $14 to $20 million year-long television advertising campaign funded by the Health Insurance Association of America – a predecessor organization which merged into the AHIP – a health insurance industry lobby group, that ran intermittently from September 8, 1993, to September 1994 in opposition to the Clinton health care plan of 1993 and Congressional health care reform proposals in 1994.
