The SMU Mustangs football team is a college football team representing Southern Methodist University in University Park, Dallas County, Texas. The Mustangs compete in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. SMU joined the ACC in July 2024 after eleven years as a member of the American Athletic Conference.
