The Shoshone or Shoshoni, also known by the endonym Newe, are an Indigenous people of the United States with four large cultural/linguistic divisions:
Eastern Shoshone: Wyoming
Northern Shoshone: southern Idaho
Western Shoshone: Nevada, northern Utah
Goshute: western Utah, eastern Nevada
