Gagauzia or Gagauz-Yeri, officially the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, is an autonomous territorial unit of Moldova. Its autonomy is intended for the local Gagauz people, a Turkic-speaking, primarily Orthodox Christian ethnic group.
