Noir Désir was a French rock band from Bordeaux that formed in 1980. Their most consistent lineup featured Bertrand Cantat, Serge Teyssot-Gay, Frédéric Vidalenc and Denis Barthe. Jean-Paul Roy became the band's bassist in 1996 after Vidalenc's departure. From Wikipedia
