Sabretooth is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne, he first appeared in Iron Fist #14 and was initially depicted as a serial killer known as "the Slasher", before being developed into a villain associated with the X-Men during the "Mutant Massacre" crossover in 1986.
