Rosa Luxemburg was a Polish and naturalised-German Marxist theorist and revolutionary socialist. A member of the Social Democracy of the Kingdom of Poland and Lithuania and Social Democratic Party of Germany, she became a leading theorist of the SPD and a prominent figure in the Second International.
