Vibrio pectenicida, sometimes abbreviated V. pec, is a pathogenic bacterium which attacks larvae of the scallop Pecten maximus. This bacterium does not use glucose or fructose as its carbon sources, but instead uses rhamnose and betaine. A365 is the type strain.
