Hurricane Erin is a currently active tropical cyclone impacting Hispaniola and the Turks and Caicos Islands. The fifth named storm, first hurricane and first major hurricane of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season, Erin developed from a tropical wave on August 11, while passing westward over Cabo Verde.
