Thrifty Ice Cream is an American company that manufactures ice cream, frozen yogurt, and sherbert. The company has been owned by Hilrod Holdings since 2025 and was originally created in 1940 to produce a loss leader that was used to attract and encourage customers to linger inside a chain of Thrifty Drug Stores pharmacies throughout Southern California during the mid-twentieth century and purchase more drugstore goods.
