The twenty-second season of NCIS was announced on April 9, 2024 and premiered on October 14, 2024, to coincide with NCIS: Origins. This is the third season to not premiere in the usual September, delayed by the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. In February 2025, NCIS was renewed for season 23. It will conclude after 20 episodes.
