He has been ranked as high as No. 54 by the Association of Tennis Professionals, which he first achieved on 29 May 2023, making him the third highest-ranked male Chinese player in history, behind Zhang Zhizhen and Shang Juncheng He also has a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 295, achieved on 23 April 2018.
