Iris Mittenaere is a French television personality, model and beauty queen best known for winning the title of Miss Universe 2016. She is the second Miss Universe from France after Christiane Martel, who was crowned Miss Universe 1953. Mittenaere had previously been crowned Miss France 2016 and Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais 2015.
